How to Use geoPin

geoPin makes it easy to report local issues such as potholes, broken streetlights, or fly-tipping directly to your local council or service team.

  1. Find the location
Take a clear photo with your device’s GPS active to pinpoint where the issue is.
  2. Describe the problem
Select a type of issue, for example “pothole” or “streetlight not working”, to make sure the issue is routed to the correct department.
  3. Add a photo
Upload a clear photo showing the issue — this step is required for accurate reporting.
  4. Submit your report
The report will be sent to the appropriate local authority or service provider for review.
  5. Track progress
By providing your email address, some councils will send updates as they work on reported issues.

Tips for effective reporting

geoPin helps your community stay safe, clean, and well-maintained — every report you make contributes to real local improvements.
